advance in their EPROM upgrade programs, which I do similarly in my a-class tunes, but my c-class tunes have considerably less timing advance. For cars I tune on the dyno, I am able to take the timing up a degree or two on pump fuel because I know the base timing is actually set to 15 degrees and that there are no other issues with the car. It is still conservative at 19-20 degrees when everything is right. You bring up a good point that I believe some here are overlooking. Greater power output means more wear, which requires greater attention to things over the long term to ensure that something isn't failing and leading to catastrophic failure. Seems that people expect to have a high-horsepower ZTT preceision tuned, and then expect it to just run forever without anything ever wearing out or breaking.
